Already well-entrenched in the U.S.-based medium to large business services market, tw telecom is now expanding its MPLS IP-VPN service into 64 new international markets. Such a service will resonate with tw telecom`s multinational corporation customers that want both domestic and international relationships handled by one service provider. Since tw telecom will work with other international carrier partners, none of which have been named yet, the service provider will need to provide its MNC customers consistency of service to the locations they operate in.
"Our strategy continues to focus on high quality network partners - each with a unique focus and expertise in a geographic region - to complement the strength of our MPLS IP VPN services in the United States," said John Blount, tw telecom`s Chief Operating Officer in a press release. "Through these partners, we are able to improve the overall value and service for our customers and better manage their connectivity, while building out industry-leading, high-performance networks for them to run their mission critical applications."
The new MPLS IP VPN service can support a number of business service network applications, including site-to-site network connectivity as well as Telepresence services. Enterprise customers can choose from five classes of service. These classes of service enable enterprise customers to manage and prioritize voice, video, storage and basic Internet access over tw telecom`s network.
